Power Station SCADA system V1.0

A. The main window of drawing and configuration program on Linux

The left side of the screen is the power system elements symbols panel, it is a AutoCAD style palette. The symbols can be dragged and dropped into the canvas, if the canvas is zoomed in or out, the symbol will be automatically adjusted to suit the proportion.

All of the elements on canvas can be merged into a new one,  then spitted again. If a combined elements is merged by other combined elements, when it is split, user can split it completely into the basic elements, or just split it into a group of smaller combined elements.

All of the elements on canvas support mouse sensitive menu. For digital elements like circuit breaker and switch, or text symbols to show measured variables, their popup menu support the mapping operation from diagram elements to the database SCADA settings.

B. The grid tables for SCADA parameter settings  on Linux

This spread sheet is for a RTU ( Remote Terminal Unit), system manger use this table to maintenance all of the settings in the SCADA system. Before the data is saved into database, system will automatically check the users inputs, and give all kinds of warnings if there is a problem, this can greatly reduce the works of configuration.

C. The preview dialog box for browsing the diagrams in database on Linux

D. The True type  fonts selecting dialog box on Linux

OS platform independently, the system use it's own font engine to draw the Turetype fonts onto diagram, thanks for the great works of Freetype.org. The true type font files can be those which come from MS windows platform.

E. The main window of the communication gateway on Linux

The gateway is the heart of the whole system. It use a SQL supported in-memory database for real-time data process. It translate all of the data in different protocols from/to the RTU/FTU devices. All the workstations get data posted by this gateway. A saving thread in this program save the data from the real-time database to the history database periodically.

The left tree panel shows two kinds of in formations, one for serial channels and one for LAN network. The serial channel lists all of the FTU (Feed line Terminal Unit) and RTU (Remote Terminal units) belong to a specified serial port. Usually a group of FTUs linked by an optics fiber share a serial port, and a RTU use a serial port solely.

All the data for RTU/FTU are shown at the up-right windows, and data from/to network workstations are shown at the bottom windows. The color for incoming and outgoing data can be different and configurable. Data can be saved to files in the manner of WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).

F. The main window of supervisor and control workstation on Linux

The left tree list all of the power stations controlled by the system, it support right mouse menu for query operations.

The up-right window pages are the runtime status of the diagrams which are drawn by the former program. The measured and digital data are shown by their symbols, the color  of the circuit breakers and the shape of the switch change according to the real-time SCADA data. If an element is not mapped to a SCADA data, its color is transparent. If no data is received, the color is white.

The bottom of the window is an event listing window. It shows all of the exception events happened in different power workstation and pushed from the gateway. Of course user can query these event from the history database too.

It gets the diagrams and data from the gateway, if the system manager updates a diagram or a SCADA setting in the Power Draw program, to make that change work, he just restart the gateway, there is no need to copy any file for the new diagram or settings to became valid.

G. The remote control dialog box to turn on/off a remote switch-gear on Linux

The system supervisor click a right mouse menu item on a circuit break symbol to bring up this dialog box, it will send command to the gateway then to the remote device. The operation course is usually completed via two steps  for  selection/confirmation and execution/confirmation. If any problems occurs during this course, the gateway will push a message box to this workstation to show the error.

H. The dynamic curve dialog box on Linux

This dialog box shows three curves for an specified measured variable in the history database, The red curve is for today's data, the green one for yesterday data, and the yellow one for arbitrary another day, user can chose a day on the calendar control to specified the day.

The left axis ranges from 0.99 times the minimum data to 1.01 times the maximum data of the all three curves. The lower-right static text controls show the maximum value and time, the minimum value and time, the average value. When user moves mouse on the  curve window, the lowest two controls shows the value pointed by the mouse point and the accumulate time in seconds  for all the data greater than that value on today's curve.

I. The main window of drawing and configure program on Windows 2000

J. The grid tables for SCADA parameter settings on Windows 2000

This spread sheet is for a FTU ( Feed line Terminal Unit), like Schneider Talus 200 serials.

K. The serial port parameters and protocol selecting dialog box on Windows 2000

At this moment, The protocols supported include IEC870-5-101 and Chinese National Standard DL-634-97 which are polling protocols, and DL-451-91 which is a CDT (Cycle Data Transfer ) Chinese National Standard. Support for  other protocols like DNP is in the progress. Customized protocol can be ordered by our customers.

L. The main window of the communication gateway on Windows 2000

This shows the right mouse menu for the real time data window. The color of data, the line width, the offset label (decimal or Hex) are all configurable.

M. The main window of supervisor and control workstation on Windows 2000

This shows the mouse sensitive menu on a runtime supervisor canvas, the behaviors are quite different to the one in the drawing and configure program.
